Quora's mission is to share and grow the world's knowledge. Growing Quora internationally is a big part of this mission — most of the world's population does not know English, so expanding into other languages is critical to enable more people to be able to share knowledge with each other.
As an early member of the Internationalization (i18n) engineering team, you will work closely with the rest of Quora's engineering team, other dev functions, marketing, operations, and user research to launch and grow Quora internationally. You will also be responsible for scaling up our localization processes to deliver timely and high quality translations within our unique development team, where product designers code and developers deploy new code to production over a hundred times per day.
The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background as well as industry experience in building and scaling localization processes. Individuals in this role should be comfortable advocating for good i18n practices and partnering with different teams to make various products and technical systems work well for i18n.
