Facebook is currently available in more than hundred languages and we are adding many more. 89% of our users are already from outside of North America and we continue to expand internationally. As the Head of the Internationalization Vendor Management team, you will help drive this mission forward by supporting the team in defining and implementing our localization sourcing strategy as well as building and maintaining long-term relationships with our key localization partners. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in localization vendor selection, contracting, rate negotiation, on-boarding and ongoing performance management.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish a vendor pool that meets current business requirements and scales to future business goals
- Manage vendor relations including governance, compliance, contracts and financials
- Facilitate end-to-end vendor on-boarding
- Develop vendor strategies and implement industry best practices into our existing outsourcing model
- Implement capacity plan and cost optimization strategies
- Improve existing processes through influencing and collaborating with key stakeholders within the Internationalization team as well as cross-functional partners
- Utilize metrics and analytics to make key business decisions and optimize total cost of delivery
- Measure, report on, and action on vendor performance
- Be a people manager to support a growing team

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years people management experience
- 5+ years experience in strategic sourcing or vendor management
- 5+ years experience in localization
- BA/BS in a business or technical discipline or equivalent experience
- Experience with contract negotiations and working with multiple vendors concurrently
- Experience processing and analyzing data sets, and interpret them to make business decisions
- Experience with methods to manage vendor translation quality, delivery and overall performance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with localization platforms, file formats and CAT tools – such as SDL Trados Studio, Idiom WorldServer, or any similar in-house localization tools that manage and/or automate the translation workflow
- Knowledge of additional languages (other than English)
